1st Grade Teacher
This position requires the teacher to develop lesson plans, formulate classroom instruction, and facilitate student learning. The teacher will create a caring, Christian, and positive learning environment for academic, social-emotional, and spiritual development. The teacher will provide accommodations to support the student’s growth in the general curriculum and, if necessary, work with resource staff to adjust instruction to meet the needs of all students. The teacher will maintain the student's academic progress and records along with various assessments to document the student's progress through the year. The teacher will maintain a line of communication between the parents, students, their Instructional Para, administration, and fellow school staff.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Effective classroom management
Well-developed written and oral communication skills
Knowledgable in technology systems (Smartboards, ipads, document cameras, etc.)
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Must be a practicing catholic
Education and Experience
Strong in their understanding and living the Catholic faith
Bachelor's Degree in Education
Possesses a valid teacher certification from the State of Nebraska
Complete a background check, and the Archdiocese of Omaha required Safe Environment training
Teacher Assistant
We are seeking a Teacher Aide for Elementary Grades 1-4
• Assist teachers in classroom management and instructional activities.
• Support students’ individual learning needs.
• Prepare instructional materials and resources for classroom use.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Assist with student supervision outside of the classroom (e.g. during recess, lunch duty, etc.).
• Collaborate and follow daily instructions from classroom teacher and/or principal.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Applicants should be familiar with and understand the emotional needs of 5-12 year old children. Applicants must be patient, kind, and eager to help our students grow in their love for learning and for Jesus. A qualified candidate will enjoy working on a team and have a collaborative attitude with their supporting teacher.
