7th Grade Language Arts Teacher
St. Patrick's Catholic School is looking for an enthusiastic individual to teach English and Literature to 7th graders for the 2022-2023 school year. Candidate will be expected to carrying out the curriculum of the Omaha Archdiocese and State Standards and will also be responsible for a homeroom. Additional duties include Speech Contest and some school committees.
Will work daily in a Catholic, faith-filled environment to form and develop students. Must also set high classroom expectations in all areas, develop and implement daily lesson plans as part of a long-term scope and sequence aligned to the Archdiocese curriculum and in collaboration with other grade level and content teachers. Must be able to use a variety of rigorous formative and summative assessments to evaluate individual academic progress and adjust instructional plans to meet the needs of students while setting and reinforcing clear expectations and routines that align to school-wide mission and policies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Develops and presents lessons that demonstrate planning and preparation that are consistent with the course of the Archdiocesan and Nebraska content standards for English and Language Arts.
Supports the mission of the school and upholds the teachings of the Catholic faith.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Education from an Accredited college or university.
A valid Nebraska teaching certificate or provisional Nebraska teaching certificate.
A Middle School endorsement in English/Language Arts.
Completion of a background check and Safe Environment Training.
