The state of the school information provided below is based on the 2021-2022 school year.

Academics

Statistics:
  • 41 teachers
  • 24 teacher assistants
  • 61% have at least one master's degree

Curriculum:
  • 4th, 5th-8th new social studies curriculum
  • 4th, 5th-8th new science curriculum
  • Goal to create a HAL position for 3rd-4th grade

Assessments:
  • STAR testing (Archdiocesan comparative data), K-1 take the early literacy test and grades 2nd-8th take reading and math
  • ESGI for letter recognition, sight words and number sense
  • A to Z text leveling in grades K-3
  • Orleans Hanna algebra readiness assessment for grades 6th and 7th

PBIS:
Preschool-8th grade utilize the positive behavioral interventions and support (PBIS) framework. Students earn HALOs for their positive behavior and students are taught the expectations in all areas of the school building (halls, restrooms, cafeteria and church). 

SEL:
Preschool -8th grade have weekly and monthly lessons in social emotional learning (SEL). Calm down kits are in every classroom and students are taught coping skills and techniques to help them focus and regulate their emotions. 

Student Support:
  • An in-house resource program serves students in grades Preschool-8th grade, offering interventions for students in the areas of math and reading.
  • Homework room for students in grades 5th-8th
  • Fulltime school counselor that provides support and weekly guidance lessons
  • Two parttime nurses that job shared provide daily health support
  • Teacher assistants in grades preschool-4th

Financials

Cost of Education:
  • Cost to education per student in '21-'22:
  • Cost to education- $7221
  • Tuition Rate (Avg)- $3176 (K-8) (update this)
 
  • Actual 'cost' includes the following: facility upkeep, salaries, insurance & benefits, curriculum costs and teaching supplies.
 
  • $3734 is the GAP per student. With tuition covering only about 50% of the total cost of education, the GAP is the difference between tuition and the full cost of education. 
 
  • The '21-'22 contributions provided by the Parish amount to ~54% of funding for the school (tuition + expenses).

Faculty and Support Staff:
  • St. Patrick's starting salary (BA, 1st year) is: $37,306
  • Elkhorn Public starting salary (BA, 1st year) is $38,375
  • A 3% increase to the base salary for contracted teachers for the '22-'23 school year
  • A 5% increase for hourly and salaried personnel for the '22-'23 school year
