PhilosophyPreS (PreSchool)
The PreS philosiphy is that all children can learn in a child-centered setting. The child-centered approach is the main focus as a young child learns life-long skills through movement learning. PreK (PreKindergarten) The PreK philosophy builds on the preschool program to continue the academic growth to meet the high expectations of the kindergarten program. School readiness is at the core of the PreK program. TK (Transitional Kindergarten) TK is a pre-requisite program meant to support students who are eligible for Kindergarten but need more time to prepare academically and/or socially before entering a traditional Kindergarten setting. The program will use a combination of Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten curriculum. Registration Requirements
PreS Program
Must be 3 years old by July 31st. The child must be completely and independently toilet trained. Absolutely NO pull-up diapers allowed. The PreS program will provide many opportunities for the 3 year old to enhance his/her growth and development. Each child will learn a host of skills and acquire tremendous self-esteem to succeed in future school readiness.
PreK Program
Must be 4 years old by July 31st. The PreK program emphasizes school readiness and academic preparedness. The PreK program places emphasis on academics, attention span, and cognitive skills. Each PreK will be well prepared to meet the challenges at St Patrick’s.
Transitional Kindergarten Program
TK is a pre-requisite program meant to support students who are eligible for Kindergarten but need more time to prepare academically and/or socially before entering a traditional Kindergarten setting. The program will use a combination of Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten curriculum. Students must be 5 by October 15th to be eligible for this program.

Additional Information
Security
For the safety of all the main doors to the school are locked during the school hours. A security system is in place and you must buzz in to be admitted into the building.
Communications
Classroom Weekly newsletters are sent weekly to keep all informed of the happenings in the classroom. The Angels Dashboard keeps all informed on all activities in the school and parish. It is important that parent(s) read both and stay informed.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
The PreS/PreK/TK program will hold conferences in October and February. October conferences will be a time to discuss your child’s development, accomplishments and skills that are a work in progress.
