2. Cultivating Exceptional Educators: Professional Growth and Innovation

Objective
We will create a culture of inspiration and innovation by providing educators with transformative opportunities for growth, collaboration, and well-being. By doing so, we empower teachers to excel in their craft and ignite a passion for learning in every student they encounter.
Goals
Professional Development Investment
  • Evaluate the instructional coaching needs, and the impact of current support, to determine what is needed by the staff.
  • Implementation and evaluation of targeted training programs by developing specific professional development tracks based on teacher experience and needs.
  • Support the implementation of the Science of Reading and the adoption of a new ELA (English Language Arts) curriculum aligned with best practices.
Leadership Development
  • Restructure leadership roles and assess needs to potentially include an Instructional Coach for curriculum, clearly defining responsibilities to maximize impact.
  • Strengthen our comprehensive staff wellness initiative addressing spiritual, physical, mental, and financial well-being.
  • Foster innovation by creating opportunities for teachers to lead new initiatives and share best practices.

2025-2026 Accomplishments

  • Strengthened instructional support and collaboration through weekly grade-level meetings focused on curriculum, instruction, assessment, intervention, and enrichment.
  • Invested in meaningful professional learning, including K–8 ELA (English Language Arts) implementation, Science of Reading, evidence-based instructional practices, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), Nebraska’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and educational technology.
  • Expanded teacher leadership and collaboration, providing opportunities for educators to pilot instructional practices and programs, research future curriculum, develop resources, and learn alongside partner schools.
  • Piloted early literacy intervention practices and resources to strengthen targeted support for young learners and inform future implementation.
